Why Google Hates Paid Link Building Building or Paid Link Submission

May 18, 2009 Varun Saxena 2 comments

Google is one search engine that believes in providing its users the perfect results. Thus, Google is striving hard to create its own algorithms. Meta ranking is not such a major criteria for Google search engine optimisation. The same holds true for page ranking. Google does not hold any page rank system. In fact, Google follows off-page optimisation. This means, that if your inbound links are strong, you will get a priority on Google.

Similarly, the age of the domain is one factor that is taken care of, by almost every search engine, especially Google. If your domain is older, then your site will be given priority in the search engine optimisation, as compared to the new domains. These factors contribute to analyse the quality of a website by Google.

However, paid link submissions are what Google dislikes the most. In fact, Google penalises such webmasters, who sell text link ads in order to get higher ranks in the search engine optimisation. And if you think that you are too small to get noticed by Google, you are indeed wrong!!!

The reason for Google’s dislike for such paid links is that the organic structure of the environment is disturbed by such links. According to Google policies, if you are buying a link – or we may also call it a paid link submission in technical terms, you are trying to bribe an algorithm. Thus it ensures that the flow is not broken.

To ensure that you stay in the Google search engine, you have to follow the rules and regulations laid down by the company religiously. In case you try to act smart, you will surely get caught by Google. To make correct search engine results available to the users on Google search, Google’s normal procedure is to penalise the webmaster that uses wrong methods.

In order to get back your page rank, you have to forget text link ads or the paid submissions. Believe me, it’s not at all a bad idea, because for doing so you are benefitted from a web hosting one year fee. And once you get back your payment, it as always advisable to ensure that your TLA plug-in is disabled. If you have used a paid link, then you need the “nofollow” attribute tagged. There are various methods available on the net, outlining this process. Although it’s a bit technical, still with a little bit of help or just thorough reading on the internet, you may be able to do it.

Remember that if your paid links are made to a spam website, you will be penalised by Google. It is something that Google simply does not tolerate, no matter what.  So once you are through with disabling your paid links, you may once again ask for reconsideration from Google by sending a request, and letting them know what changes you have performed, in order to ensure that you get your page ranking in the Google search engine back. Once sure, Google will remove the penalty and you may enjoy your previous page ranking once again.
