In case of SEO, it’s highly desirable that the home page of your web site is able to access the rest of the pages. The traffic to your website will be drawn once the engine recognises the different keywords available in different pages that are linked to the home page.

SEO Services also comprises of listing your website in the right directories and in the right category. To ensure that you website ranks high in popular search engines, it is desired to keep a track of it and keep maintaining your site with right kind of write ups, that may be fresh and unique to support your staying ahead in the search results.

Pay Per Click (PPC)

Pay per Click is a method wherein the advertiser selects for a list of keywords that shows when some internet user looks for that phrase or related keyword. Pay per Click, as the name suggests, makes the advertiser to pay, every time someone clicks on the link. The payment for clicking may vary from $10 up to $50.

It is basically a method supported by how much you are willing to pay. But the PPC attraction lies in the fact that when you get attached to a site like Overture, it will send your list to its partner sites as well. This means that if you have bid for a top position in Overture, your list will also be included by HotBot, Lycos and other partner sites of Overture as well.

All the PPC programs like Google AdWords, Sprinks etc, work on the same lines.

The PPC scores more in comparison to SEO, in the fact that it is a faster way of achieving the required promotion for your website. But does it mean that the traditional SEO method should be taken over by PPC?

PPC is not always beneficiary. When someone looks for an editorial search, you will only appear as sponsored or featured. Secondly, not all internet users click on the “paid” listings. Thirdly, your site’s specifications won’t be available by PPC as it’s not optimized. And last but not the least, the moment you stop paying PPC, your site and traffic to your site, ceases.
